Paper
My favourite types of paper are Saunders Waterford 300 g/m2 100% cotton CP/Rough or Arches 100% Cotton CP fine grain 300 or 640 g/m2 loose sheets.
Palette and Colors
For plein air I use a Whiskey Painters palette with 4 wells and a flat lid for mixing. Other palettes I am experimenting with is a The Art Toolkit Folio with additional magnet plate to hold more mixing wells.
For studio use I rely on one or more enamel trays. I apply fresh paint out of the tube to the sides of the tray and pull the paint downwards onto the tray itself for mixing.
Colors
The colours in my palette are a mix for landscape and portrait painting and consists mainly out of warm and cool primary and secundary colours. The colours marked with an asterix (*) are my main colours. Brands currently in my palette are Winsor & Newton (WN), Daniel Smith (DS), Royal Talens (RT) and Maimeri Blu (MB).
I am currently testing watercolour tubes and brushes of Renesans Polska. The brushes and colours are very promising. Quite some colours are mono pigments so I might change my palette and bring in these beautiful intense colours.
